PREPARE- (def.) To put in a proper state of mind. To make ready beforehand.

The attitude with which we approach people and circumstances affects the interaction we experience. It affects how we feel and how things turn out.

Here’s an example. I was sitting in on a meeting at work the other day. Changes were being asked of an employee, not usually an easy conversation to have. Those of us involved took time before the meeting to prepare our hearts and minds for the very best outcome. We came into the meeting with a spirit of support (not judgement), offerings of assistance (if desired) and an awareness that what we say and do here affects the entire workplace.

It was a meaningful and positive experience. We felt good about having been a part of something that was constructive. My personal belief is that this would not have happened if we hadn’t take the time to create a positive atmosphere inside of ourselves.

What about you? Consider the relationships or circumstances in your life you regularly encounter. Could any of these go more smoothly? Is it worth it to prepare a positive attitude? Would it change the outcome?

Preparing a positive attitude internally is an act of CREATION. It can be a new choice which might just leave you feeling better. Isn’t that worth a try? 🤔
